we try to define things that don’t need explanation or titles. Relationships, future goals, current feeling of emotion—all these things are so hard to pinpoint, so hard to truly explain with a simple phrase or status. Trying to narrow down the role someone plays in your life, or trying to explain to someone that you can be simultaneously stoked and terrified of life, or trying to keep an open mind about what lies ahead while needing to know all the answers immediately…trying to define all the emotions and scenarios and titles are draining. Lately I have been living my life by my standards, and that does not necessarily include defining everything. I suggest you do the same—it makes you much, much happier.
